Commissioned by Sensorium Lab at York University, main app-based artistic experience of the Congress conference 2023
Encounters" was an innovative and immersive project that leverages Augmented Reality (AR) technology to create a unique social experience in public spaces. By blending the virtual and physical worlds, it aims to redefine social presence and foster collective self-organization among participants.

Encounter offered participants a chance to connect with other Congress participants by asking users to locate someone around them that they can go on a walk with.
When a partner was located, the app lead both participants to a gathering location, inviting them to celebrate chance encounter between them.These moments of connection manifest a junction or starting point between two separate paths and combine them into a common journey towards the gathering.
Participants were encouraged to follow virtual pathways leading to predetermined points of interest around the conference venue .
By doing so, users embarked together on a journey of exploration and discovery, sharing new perspectives and insights about their intersubjective experiences of the landscape.

1-Instruction prompt user to look around and find a partner to pair.
2-Confirmation modal on found partner.
3-Instruction prompts and ask the partner for their ID and input the ID into the given field.
4-User inputs ID into the field and than taps return.
5-They receive the pairing successful cheer modal and feedback message that the are ready for encounter.
